Concrete gets laid!

Well the concreters turned up and

did their thing. If you are ever in need of some very reliable and professional concreters check out Laybax Concreters. They
finished up their job very quickly and without hassle. One thing I discovered is that when you get a concreter to lay a slab for you, you need to buy them a slab of beer. A slab for a slab. It’s a tradition apparently. I had no qualms with this at all and ended up buying them two slabs, and

having a couple with them that day.

Final levelling of block.

There was a lack of communication with the concreter and he thought we were getting someone else to do the final levelling. So he’s

there today doing it for us after a brief sojourn.

Digging of concrete piers.

Interesting the way the concreters build a slab. First the

piers go down, then later on the slab. They’ll be finished the slab by Monday.

Initial pegging out.

I spent the day waiting for the concreter. Whilst I was doing that I

marked out where the house rooms will be, I also decided to

do some work in my office. A bit breezy though. The concreter

eventually turned up, but only when I had gone. He ended up

marking it all out.
